LawExperts was created with the objective of building the most robust, intuitive, easy-to-use search engine for linking expert witnesses with attorneys in need of their expertise. Our founder was a practicing attorney and experienced both first-hand and through colleagues the challenge of finding qualified expert witnesses. While other engines exist in the form of online expert directories, none provide the modern features and technology that are now commonplace on the internet.
Creating a Robust Platform
We set out with a wish-list of ideas that would 1. Help the legal community efficiently find qualified experts, and 2. Provide experts with a platform that would allow them to build the most comprehensive profile available anywhere on the internet. In our list of “must-have” features included the ability for expert profiles to include video, multiple images, searchable categories, unlimited text for their bio/profile, links to their professional websites and social media.
We wanted them to be able to build out their own individual FAQ (frequently asked questions) section, proactively answering questions that an attorney might have in advance. In addition our experts have the ability to create their own search tags (keywords), that help both with the visibility of their profile, and the overall intelligence of our search engine.
Not only that, but we wanted to provide an opportunity for lawyers to share their experience with other attorneys in the form of a profile review system. As an attorney, you’ll have the ability to provide both a star rating, and a detailed review that will assist other attorneys who might be considering working with that same expert.
This is truly an engine that is built to last, and like Google, get smarter and smarter over time.
Lastly, we wanted to make communication between attorneys and experts as easy as possible. Expert profiles have the ability to include phone numbers, emails as well as direct website contact forms that route directly to the individual experts. We’re completely out of the loop, and feel strongly that this is they way it should be.
Looking Forward
Our goal is to become the #1 source for both attorneys in search of expert witnesses and for expert witnesses who are looking to become visible to more attorneys. We will continue to aggressively market our platform to both of these communities and are passionate about providing a better alternative for this much needed service.
